saying goodbye { loki x david }

Loki didnt even bother to knock or announce himself. He pushed the door open in a thrust of confusion and grace. He wasn't sure why he had come here in the first place. He knew that this would happen. He liked David, and he wanted David to come home for the terrible games. Loki tossed himself into a chair and leaned back against the wall tilting his head to the left as he watched David. "You should stop crying before you leave. Sponsors don't pick people like us, especially if they have been crying. They get the sense that we are weak, less than human. So if you want just a glimse of hope, I'd knock that stuff off right now." Loki said his voice strong. He knew David knew his way around with weapons and could easily take care of himself if the time arised. However he wasnt just fight 23 other people, but he... he was fight the Game makers as well, he was fighting against luck and karma and god all wrapped into one bundle of living hell.

Loki stopped. Stopped thinking. Stopped moving. Breathing. He was 90% sure that his heart stopped beating. The gears in his head snapped back into action again as he registered what happened. IN his mind he replayed the last 10 seconds. David had stopped crying, nodded and hugged Loki. not only did he actually just suddenly hug Loki which never happens, he asked him to look after his family. Loki barely knew the guy, yet David gave him control of his home, his family, and his life while he was away. Loki breathed deeply and looked David in the eye. "Come home." was all he said in the begining and then another scary thought smacked Loki in the face. David asked him how to survive the games. Why didnt Loki Volunteer? He would have been the better Candidate anyways. "You.. um make sure you don't die, pay attention to shelter creation and memorize as much info about the food you can. Do NOT, under no circumstances show anyone your skills with any throwing weapon durring training. Almost no one is good with those except your D4 tributes. One of which loves to party and I doubt has had any serious training. Im not saying he isnt a threat, they are all threats. Remember that. Not even your ally is really your ally. Because if your alliance just happens to destroy all the others then its you against your new friends... The rest shouldnt be much of an issue, and if you cant get a proper spear make sure you know how to make one. Create traps for animals and people, do not go soft at all. one last thing to remember, it is ok to change. you will change whether you want to or not and if you accept it it will be easier and less frightening." Loki finished his speech and had wrapped his hands around David somewhere in between. Light tears had swelled in his eyes as he felt the light fall and rise of Davids lean figure against his body. He could feel the actual life inside of this person and he understood why he didnt volunteer. He would have never been able to end such a thing as masterful as a life.

Loki Looked David in the eye, and gave a flirtatious smirk he always had. "I'll tell you when you get back." Loki grabbed Davids jaw and rubbed his finger over his cheek. Loki kept the same smirk on his face as he got up and wiped his tears out of his eyes and ruffled Davids hair. in that instant he could see him and David together in a world without the games maybe Loki wouldnt be so hard on himself. "So you better come back, because if you don't then who will I tell the answer too? And on your way home you should pick up some wine for your celebration." Loki spoke with the same tone that he had playing in his voice since he could speak. In a last moment of affection Loki hugged David tight and kissed David's neck. Turning one last time, Loki pushed the door open suddenly scaring the crap out of the guard outside.
