| Caesar stood upon the stage, smiling into the crowd. Exuberantly he said, "Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome!" Caesar absorbs the crowds cheering, his smile growing larger. "Let us give a warm welcome to our next tribute: Leda Carrow from District Twelve!" The crowd follows with louder cheers. "Hello, Leda! It is great to see you! How has the Capitol been treating you thus far? It isn't quite the District Twelve you call home, but the Capitol is lovely, isn't it?" Caesar motions to the chair beside him, indicating that Leda sit. The crowd roars at the sight of the next tribute. | |

| OutfitLeda pranced out with a smile planted on her face. She didn't intend to keep it, but she figured she might as well at least start off friendly. Besides, the Capitol people were so ridiculous it was hard not to laugh if you were in a good enough mood. Leda wasn't, but she was forcing herself to think that she was so she'd be amused rather than disgusted. "Thank you, Caesar," she said politely, sitting down in the chair and fiddling with the neckline of her dress, which was pretty far from comfortable, especially for someone used to pants of some sort 24/7. For the first time in her life, Leda felt truly beautiful, and she didn't she what all the fuss was about. She was not fond of the feeling so far, and much preferred don't-really-give-a-coal-lump-whether-you-think-I-look-pretty-or-not to beauty that was clearly the main goal and had taken a lot of work. "The Capitol's nice. I mean, obviously it's nicer than my district, if you're into all that glitz and glam, since the Capitol spends all its money decorating itself instead of feeding starving Seam kids. But, you know, beauty is pain, and all that." Leda didn't care whether the Capitol hated her or not. She had terrible chances of living anyway, so she might as well be honest and let her sassy self show. |
