| Rose stood there, she had been all dressed up today, although she wore a black dress instead of a different colour. Rose had her brown hair down today and she went to sign in. After signing in she walked to her spot. It felt empty now not having Maddie standing beside her and not looking across to the boys to see Xav. She couldn't even see William today. Rose looked down and she fought to keep her composure. She couldn't cry now, she was in public. She had been good at keeping everything down, in this past year but things were still difficult. Rose felt alone often times and she'd wake up confused and angry because her dreams always seemed so real, and then she woke up and it was a nightmare again. She hated being awake, and she didn't know what cruel joke was being around here but thigns were different now. Rose heard the escort mention that ladies were first, and now her heart began to pound more and more. | |

| She dug her hand into the bowl and pulled out the female tribute's name, "Leda Carrow!" She called out and then she dug into the male's bowl. "William Taves!" |

Outfit
Leda had run a brush through her hair for once, worn her least torn jeans and least gunky combat boots, and put on the only nice top she had, but that was all she was doing. She couldn't exactly afford to show up in a gown, and she wouldn't want to anyway. She was hoping against all likelyhood that she would not be chosen. She only had one more year to go, an although she didn't want to think about what she and her brother would do without tesserae after that, at least she'd be free. Somehow she'd escaped with all the extra times her name was in there all these years, and all she needed was one more. Come on, she thought to herelf. Just one more year. I'm far from the only one who gets tesserae.
Unfortunately, her luck appeared to have run out. The female tribute was announced and sure enough, that was her name falling from the escort's painted lips. Several people turned to look at her with not much recognition. Just another kid from the Seam, sent off to die. Leda sighed. "Well, sh*t," she said, not bothering to hide the words under her breath as she stood still for a moment before walking up to the stage. The male tribute's name sounded vaguely familiar. Probably some rich kid like last year. She peered at the crowd from the stage, absorbed in her thoughts and wondering if someone would volunteer but doubting it. Even the wealthier people in District 12 weren't completely safe from the Hunger Games.

| Rose stood there and she heard the female name and knew it wasn't hers, she was thankful for it but what came next tugged too much at her emotions. Will? Really? How cruel could the world be? Did they want to take all her friends away? was that it? Rose knew that ever since the games, she had been separating herself from Will, because she didn't want to be around him, because being around him just reminded her of Maddie and Xav and it was all too much for her, she couldn't be around him. That's when it hit her that she was truly alone now, she had no one, and she was partly to blame, she was the one who distanced herself, but she had nothing she could say to him, and she didn't want the past to keep coming back and slapping her in the face. She had some tears run down her face and over her cheeks, but eventually she watched as someone volunteered for Will, but it didn't change how she felt about being alone. When the crowds were able to move again, she swiftly moved out of the crowds and found a spot where she could just be alone away from everyone, she sat down and she hugged herself not wanting to be here. She didn't want to stay in district 12. | |

| Will was stumbling through the streets of District 12, having woken up late for Reaping Day. He was in a wrinkled white dress shirt and dark black pants. Over the shirt he threw on a vest that was black and gold on the front and just black on the back. He wore a golden brown tie around his neck that was tucked into his vest. Despite the nice clothes, he looked like a mess because of his hair. He hadn't had time to comb it since he had to find clothes, but it didn't really matter. Nothing did anymore.
He finally made it to the Justice Building, and stuck out his finger to get pricked. When they were done, he rushed into the sea of children, trying to smooth down his hair the best that he could. He looked around for Rose, but before he could find her he heard the female name called. He let out a sigh of relief, but it was short lived when he heard his own name called. All of a sudden, it felt like time and space stood still. Then he was moving forward...and heard a blurred noise. As he turned around, the blurred noise slowly took form of the voice of a boy who was yelling to volunteer. Will was trying to shake his head, but it was too late by then. The boy was being sent to the slaughter.
He stood there, wondering how that all happened so fast. One minute he was getting ready, the next he narrowly escaped certain death. It was strange how life worked out. He turned and walked off, noticing someone sitting down as he did so. He made his way over to the figure and then stopped dead in his tracks when he realized it was her. He began to think of something to say, but nothing was coming out. All he managed to say was simply, "Rose..."

| Will noticed she was obviously upset and he sighed. She asked him what he wanted and he smiled, but nothing about his expression showed any humor to it. "I want a lot of things...starting with the chance to go back one year and volunteer for Xav. Maybe then I'd be the one stabbed by the D10 boy...or I would be back here and we could all hang out again...but that's not possible." His smile faded and he turned around to look at the rest of the district. He turned his head so he was slightly looking at her and said, "Exactly one year ago, Xav made me promise him something..." At this point he couldn't stand to look at her and turned away once more. "I was supposed to look after you...and take care of you. And what an amazing job I've done with that..." He felt a tear run down his cheek, but he quickly brushed it away as he felt his head droop down to look at the ground. | |

| "That's a rather stupid promise, don'tcha think?" A new voice spoke behind Will. Jack had been ever-present at the reapings, as demanded, and witnessed a boy, a seam kid, give his life for Mr. Rich Boy Number Two. Stupid, really; it was obvious the wealthy ones had a better chance of survival. Unless they get stabbed by a Ten. But that was besides the point; and this guy obviously didn't deserve it. "That Xav guy really didn't know what he was blabbering about, did he?" He continued, moving to be in full view of the boy and Rose. He gave a wink to the girl, knowing she'd be pissed at him. But hey, it's better to be mad than sad, right? "But hey, maybe that's why someone saved you!" He broke into a grin then. For a brief moment, he wondered who would be the first to take a swing; after all, fighting the rich kids was exciting. | |

| Will heard another voice and turned towards it. He didn't even know who the hell this kid was, but it didn't make a difference after he heard what he said. "It was more of a favor really. To make up for doing something I was supposed to. Nothing could make up for it though." The kid kept talking and talking, trash talking both him and Xav. Rose through a punch and the new guy grabbed it, but then Will grabbed him by the front of the shirt and moved to try and slam him against a wall. | |

| Jack saw the fist coming before it had even been formed. So the girl had more guts, did she? But it wasn't anything like a real fight, he caught her fist with almost too much ease. "Whoa there sister, you don't want detention again, do ya?" He said with a chuckle, letting her hand free. Only to be grabbed by the guy and shoved against the wall. He let himself get rammed into the stone, and stayed there for a second. "Is that all you've got?" Taunting the boy shouldn't seem to be the smartest idea, but Jack didn't care. He tried to hold back a grin as he pushed back against Will, but really this was too much fun to not drag out. "Or do you not want the Capitol to see you'd make a good tribute?" Had Jack gone too far? Maybe, maybe not; he didn't care, instead breaking free and going to land his own blow on Rich Boy's pretty face. | |

| Rose watched as the fight started to go out, and Rose didn't like the scene and she did't know what to do. She was in a panic now, and she hated Xav more than ever. One for dying, and two for making Will make a stupid promise. She wanted to scream but that'd draw more attention and then more peacekeepers would be there in a hurry. Jack asked if it was all she had to throw the punch at him and she rolled her eyes, this wasn't school they couldn't give her detention.
In a last effort attempt she flung her arms up and shouted at them, "Hey!" trying to get their attention and eventually she moved her way in between the two and she face Will. "Will, please, just stop, this isn't going to change anything, nothing good will magically appear because you try to beat him up." She said to him and she turned on her heel and looked at Jack and glared. "And you, wipe that smirk off your face, today is a rough day for everyone even us fancy no good rich kids, just leave him alone for today, if you both want to go at it later like tomorrow or something be my guest but please, just not today." Rose said and she looked up at him with pleading eyes, hoping despite him being an ass, he'd at least put punching Will's face in on hold.

| Will grit his teeth together as he was pushed away and was about to throw a punch, but Rose got in between him and the other boy. She began to speak and he listened, barely listening. When she finished her first statement, he looked down at her and said, "You're right. Nothing will magically appear. But maybe if I hit his face hard enough he'll learn to keep his damn mouth shut." He let her continue as she looked at the boy. She asked him to leave Will alone which only made him ball his fists, but he stayed quiet. | |

| Jack stopped his punch short when the girl jumped in front. He would've said something, but, ya know. She seemed to actually be trying to help. "Awwe man, don'tcha know? I shut my mouth for no strike." He just couldn't let that comment go. Then Rose was in his face, telling to drop the smirk. "Hun, I'm just enjoying this," he said, knowing it was exactly the wrong thing. But hey, he didn't care, did he? "And I'm a bit booked tomorrow," He continued, but he let his hand drop. They were making a scene, after all, and who would get the whip for it? Not the guy, not Rose, but Jack. "But maybe I'll let it go. For today, yeah?" He took a step away, then glanced at the guy Rose had addressed as Will. "I'm free this time next year, if you'll wait that long," his lips curled up in another grin as he said it, then he backed up a bit more, until he melted into the crowd of people still trying to get out of the square and vanished from the sight of the rich kids. Jack has left the topic | |

| Once I heard the name Will I know who he was. He was the boy who did the best to save my father from a terrible accident. He was the one who gave us as much as he can and his family, to help us. He comes from a wealthy family. There father is a doctor and the mother is a nurse in there hospital. I had the urge to shout something that would be insane. "I VOLUNTEER!" "I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!" I jump around in circles for them to put there eyes on me. | |

- Welcome to the site, Carsten! I see that you are eager to join in the RP with us, which is wonderful. However, we have some rules that must be taken care of before you can actually RP on the site. The most important one is that you create a character to play with. This is so we know the basics of your character and can make your experience better! Your character must be accepted before you can RP.
If you have any further question about RPing with us, feel free to Private Message myself or any of the other Staff Members! We look forward to you staying with us! In addition to what Raiv posted in the other topic you made, we do not allow powerplaying here, which is what basically controlling another person's character. Making up a history between your character and another user's character without asking them is powerplaying, such as you have done here. Regardless, you still have to make a character topic and fill out a form for each character you want to play and wait for them to get accepted before RPing at all. Thanks! |
