Dr. Mars: or something like that

Mars entered the training hall, and looked around. There were a few tributes all scattered around, some at the ranged, some at the melee, and others at the agility course. Mars decided to learn about the medical part of the games, since he was very well trained at melee, and proficient in ranged weapons as well. Mars grabbed a book with lists of different plants that could be used as medicinal as well as edible options. The book was very detailed, and actually quite informative.

Catelyn walked over and saw that this was the Medical station. She knew that she was beautiful good at this, but decided to show off some skills. She started matching the medicines up, best to worst.

Mars looked up when someone else arrived at the medical station. He recognized her as the District 10 tribute. He didnt say anything to her, but just watched as she worked with the medicines. She seemed to know what she was doing, so he thought maybe it could be a good idea to work with her. "Hello, my name is Mars, how are you?" He asked.

She looked up. She saw the boy from two. She smiled at the boy, "I'm Catelyn." She said. Catelyn started back to work on the medicines. She had a scar from back at home, she revently saved her farm AGAIN from a wolf. She decided to quickly take a plant that healed cuts, rubbed some of the goo on her finger, and put it on her scar. (no idea if that works but imma go with it). She than plopped it in her mouth. She knew that this one was good food and a medicine.

"So, you seem to know a lot about medicines." He stated. He continued to flip through the book of medicines, reading a brief description about each. "You interested in maybe working together, I could use some help in learning about medical." He offered.

"Oh, sure." She said nodding. "So, all you really need to know is that these," she said holding up a little bottle. "Is used most by district 5 and 6. Painkillers." She said, but than said "But you probably know that. This is burning ointment, this is some Medicine that helps heal cuts, forget what it is." She said. "Most plants are fine, but dont trust all of them. These, these, and these are the plants found in the arena the most." She replied. She sat back and waited for his reply.

Mars tried to follow what Catelyn was saying, but he always had a hard time learning things that werent sword play or melee. He was able to retain a little bit of information, mostly about the plants, the burning ointment, and the painkillers. Mars nodded his head, not letting Catelyn know about his inability to learn. He looked at her, and noticed that she was quite beautiful. "Sounds good." He said.

She looked up. "So, your a career?" She asked. She smiled and shivered randomly.

Mars nodded. "Well Im from the second district, Ive been training for the games all my life. My father owns a training gym, and he taught me everything I know. But as to an alliance, I will work with who ever will give the group the best chance for survival." He explained.

"I could possibly, I mean, I know a lot of medical information." she said. She smiled and coughed. Catelyn started  to play with her thumbs

Mars smiled at Catelyn. "That would be great." He replied. Mars looked over Catelyn again. "You're beautiful." He replied, before he could stop himself.

Catelyn chuckled, "Not the first time i heard it today." She said with a smile.

"well thats because its true." Mars replied. "We should go check out some of the other stations." He suggested. Mars stood up and held her hand out for Catelyn.

Catelyn took his hand awkwardly. She started to walk away with him. "So, how's life?"

Catelyn grabbed Mars's hand, and Mars returned the favor. "I am doing quite well, considering the fact that we are training for what could be our last time." He stated. They made their way to one of the other stations.
