Surviving the Elements

Madelyn Fosters walked into the training center alone, the first time in it. She watched as everyone was at the fighting stations, besides a few people. Maddie didn't prefer being public with her skills. She walked to the station called 'Survival' alone. When she looked in, the whole area was empty. This was where she planned on showing what she knew, for a bit, at least. She looked at the trainer as she waved her over. Maddie smiled, walking over to the station. she a few facts about the station. Water defeats fire, fire defeats snow, snow defeats water. She read, putting these words into her memory. Further down she read some more. 3 minutes without air, 3 hours w/o shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. Maddie also put that in the front of her head, hoping it would help her for later.

Glyph finished with the ranged weapon station and moved towards the Survival station. He smiled as he saw another tribute there. He quickly scanned the plaques holding a few facts here and there. Glyph remembered seeing these facts somewhere in the health book at school in the Districts. School. The thought seemed to be a billion years away, but in hindsight it was only a week. Had it even been that long? Glyph couldn't count the days, they slurred together, and he couldn't imagine what was going on at his home district. Were his friends putting bets on his survival chance? Just like he had done last year? Is his chances high? or low? He tried to think straight, and came up behind the girl nodding an agreement.
