Lola's first job was to go to the Survival Station. The Survival Station is very important to Lola as she took surviving for granted. Unlike the tributes from the poorer districts, she hasn't needed to worry about starving or being dehydrated. She needs to learn how to survive on her own in the Hunger Games though.

Lola goes to the person in charge of the Survival Station and asks about what is necessary to survive. They said that without the ability to breathe for 3 minutes, you will die. Breathing is obvious, but Lola thought not being able to breathe would kill you almost instantly. 3 minutes without air seems a lifetime. You can survive without water for 3 days. It would be less if the climate you were in was boiling and you were doing a lot of walking and action. That's what Lola thought anyways.

Food was also less important than water. However, fighting with an empty stomach doesn't go well. Lola also learnt what type of food is most efficient to eat and the best way of cooking it. Lola also learnt how to start a fire, but it is also important to put it out, so no other tributes find you at the most vulnerable moment.
