Bugs for Dinner Grace-12

After seeing her reflection in the mirror after the parade Grace had started to calm down a little and learn to stop fighting her prep team and eat at least a little of the food. She still felt rather distant towards her team but at least her designer had gained respect for making her look strong rather then some weak dirt faced girl from District 5.

Dressed in overalls Grace felt almost happy as she watched the other tributes hurry away to try their hands at the weapons. She had no such inclination and walked directly over to the first of the survival stations. Water, food, shelter.. nobody survived the games without them and without sponsors Grace knew she would be relying on what she could find herself.

The instructor was rather surprised as Grace asked questions and even broke her rule about smiling as he explained a clever means of getting water from leaves. Working hands on for the first time since she left home Grace found herself content in the moment as poured over the instructions for DIY water filters and and ways to identify useful plants and eatable insects..(who knew there where such things?) Grace didn't want to die of starvation or thirst and so glancing around at times to see what the others where doing she returned to focusing on her work.
