Personality/Appearance
Physical Appearance: Brock is a tall boy with large ears, hands and chin. His face and hands are well worn by weather and a life of hard work, he smiles readily though and his sandy blond hair and grey eyes give him a mischievous appearance of one not used to taking things seriously. His clothes are as careworn as he is but his cowboy hat is his pride and joy. He has a haircut twice a year and doesn't much mind how he looks as he prefers to spend his time outside anyway.
Personality: A optimistic soul Brock considers his family blessed to be poor but not hungry and to have avoided the reapings so far when he has so many siblings. He prefers the simple life of open skies, his horse and dog beside him and endless space in which to be his own person. He's the kind of boy that likes to daydream and plan for the future as it's easy to forget about the reapings when your family is safe for another year. At home though it's clear that Brock doesn't belong there, he's awkward and prone to tripping over himself due to the growth spurt that has left his feet large and the rest catching up. He loves working with cattle, dogs and horses and while he doesn't enjoy hunting he's a good shot with a crossbow and relies upon it for getting rabbits and other small animals to eat. His real skill however lies in the whip which he uses to drive the cattle or catch a wayward cow or horse to break them in.

Flaw: Brock cannot read and suffers from dyslexia. Though he works hard he's also quite lazy and is known for slinking off the moment a job is done for a quite smoke around the back of the shed with the other boys. He's also quite bad in enclosed spaces and is endlessly bumping into things or tripping over his own feet.

Talents: Brock likes to say that he was born in the saddle, which is a complete lie. That said he has spent a good part of his life on horseback and is used to living for months on end with only his horse, dog and what can be found on the land. While weapons are officially forbidden it is common for Brock to carry his grandfather's old crossbow among his camping gear which he uses to shoot wild rabbits and pest animals to protect the stock. He's also skilled with a whip from working with cattle.

Brief History: The eldest of six Brock was never the brightest boy often being found outside trailing after the bigger boys rather then inside studying. His mother has always said that they where blessed for their father being a stockman of good repute meant that when Brock was young they where poor, but never starving. It became clear early on that Brock was not good at school and was branded 'lazy' by teachers and his mother alike. It was only after his mother became pregnant with Maggie that he succeeded in begging his parents to let him join his father roving. So the day after his first reaping Brock packed his few things into a rucksack and said goodbye to his mother and siblings to begin his new life away from their crowded little house he found himself in love with the wide open spaces as he learned to work cattle and earn his keep.

It's a hard living but Brock was glad to be able to earn enough to help his parents provide for them all, he comes home twice a year for Reaping Day and Will's birthday but spends most of his time with the other men caring for the cattle that will one day grace the plates of those in the capitol. He doesn't resent this though and is content to live on rabbits and whatever they come across in the wild. Each year he and his father will come home with slabs of leftover meat not good enough for export which the women cook up and smoke to store for the next year. Knowing that his family will not starve and just shy of his final reaping Brock is optimistic about the future having the skills to make his way and hopes to one day find a nice girl to make his wife once he comes of age. Never has he thought that he could end up in the Hunger Games, though with so many brothers and sisters it is likely that he may be forced to decide between a brother or sister and himself as being lucky only lasts so long.

Personality/Appearance
Physical Appearance: Jade is tall for her age and carries a bit more weight then most tributes thanks to a good diet and regular training. Her hair is naturally dirty blond curls however she is always experimenting with it to try and mimic the styles she sees Capitol people wearing on television. This has usually resulted in a frizzy white mess thanks to her lazy DIY attitude. She has blue eyes and a visible scar on the back of her neck from a fight with a former friend. She has many more scars from her secret training that she hides in with clothes lest people become aware of just how serious she is about the games.
Personality: Jade at first comes across as a bubbly enthusiastic tween obsessed with the frivolous side of life from who is dating who to which tribute she loves the best in each years games. However spending more time it becomes clear that most of this is a desperate cry for attention against being overshadowed by her older sister whom is the family pick to volunteer in the event that Jade is ever chosen as a tribute in the Hunger Games. Jade hates this and wants to prove that she is the best, a self destructive streak that has her constantly testing herself to be better and stronger then everyone else.
Flaw: Egotistical and selfish Jade has always assumed that she knows best. She will be hard to train and will do what she likes. She vastly overexaggerates her own abilities in the assumption that nobody else could possibly be better then her. Being from District 1 Jade assumes that there will always be another meal around the corner. Lastly she is addicted to nicotine and will suffer from withdraw without it.
Talents: Jade has been training with swords, daggers and other sharp things since childhood sparring with her older sister and later in the Academy. Secretly she has also been testing her skills in private to increase her stamina and pain threshold which she feels is key to outlasting her opponents.
Family/History
Family: Mother Lolite Reynolds is a seamstress, her father Jasper Reynolds owns a tobacco processing factory from which she pilfers cigarettes. Her older sister Opal is seventeen and at the Academy in hope of being a tribute in the games.
Pets: she used to have a rabbit named Mittons right up until she killed it and buried it in the garden when she was eleven as a test to see if she could.

Brief History: The Reynolds family are well known though out Param for their fine cigars and tobacco products however Jade's father wishes their name to go down for much longer as a family of victors on account of Jade's older sister Opal. Growing up life was always very structured, Jade went to school at the academy and played second fiddle to her sister in sparing and training for the games.

Always there was competition between the two girls, Jade hated her sister vowing that if she was to be chosen for the games she would not let her older sister take the opportunity from her. Jade would win the games to prove that she was, and always had been the best. Waiting for her chance she has dedicated the last few years to studying the games and training so that she can be ready for when her name is called.. the idea that both her and her sister might never be tributes was never a consideration in her household.. but with Opal now seventeen things have grown tense in the Reynolds household with the realisation that all their work might be for naught if neither girls are called at the reapings.

Everyone assumed that Opal would be a tribute, a high achiever at the academy she exceeded while Jade managed passable grades frustrated of being nothing more then a second chance draw for her older sister with their father having the idea of making both girls sign up for as much tessari as they could each year to increase the odds. It wasn't like they needed the help but Mr Reynolds hadn't gotten rich by ignoring a scheme to make money.. even if it meant paying his employees with free grain and oil from his children.

While well-off neither girls are not overly spoilt which Jade things is particularly unfair and likes to hang around her father's factories after work where she can lord over the workers and even sneak herself some of the merchandise from time to time to sell or smoke herself as she thinks it makes her look more sophisticated and 'capitol'.

Vindictive as she is Jade could not be happier as the prospects of her first reaping and the chance to finally get all the attention she strongly believes she deserves.

Personality/Appearance
Physical Appearance: Will is a small boy with grey eyes and dark hair. At 12 he is shorter then his older sisters and most certainly his brother Brock. His clothes are all hand me down school clothes or oft-patched jeans and shirt from his older brother with the family having a strong policy on never buying new what could be reused. Frustrating it might be but Will finds it reassuring to always remember each shirt and pair of jeans as being his big brother's before him. Will's knees are usually a mess of scabs from his 'adventures'.

Personality: While his brother is a day dreamer Will is a quiet and more serious boy who takes his job of 'man of the house' seriously when his brother and father are away. During those long months he's quiet and usually found with his head in a book or trying to avoid his sisters or mother's endless list of housework. Like his father Will likes working with his hands and is happiest when hanging around with his older brother learning to fish or shoot. When supplies get short he's often known to skip school to go out trapping.. he gets a hiding from his mother for this but doesn't see why if Brock was allowed he can't be too.

Flaw: Will tends to think more then other boys, he's the kind of kid who walks rather then runs and would rather read all the instructions then jump in head first. Because of this he's not as fit as other boys of his age and is easily beaten in fight.

Talents: A clever boy Will has grown up on the land, he knows how to keep a farm running and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty when it comes to catching dinner or assisting the men of the family with butchering the cattle each year.

Brief History: The younger brother of Brock Will is a quiet boy forced to fill his older brother and father's shoes on account of being too young to go droving with the others. Being stuck at home means that Will is aware of a lot of things that his brother and father are not such as the day to day going-ons of his sisters, the pressure on their mother and the extremes that the family sometimes has to go to in order to have enough food during winter.

Growing up Will has always idolized his brother wanting to be able to ride horses, hunt and do everything the older boy could do. It was obvious early on though that Will was more of a thinker then Brock managing to keep good grades when his brother was more busy heading cows then studying. Each year on his birthday Will goes camping with his brother where they fish, hunt and generally get into mischief. It's the good times that allow Will to ignore the harder times when he is left alone with the girls and his mother and he's forced to hunt for meat and take out tessari's in secret so that they might not starve as the Capitol's fashion for food is just as picky as with clothes with quality beef being driven out of fashion by veal and other new tastes.

When it comes to the reapings Will is less optimistic then his brother, he hopes that he won't be picked because someone has to take care of their mother and sisters when Brock and their father is away. Will knows that his brother will volunteer for him but doesn't want to lose his brother...especially when so much depends on him being able to help their Father with the cattle.

Appearance: Augusta is if anything a wonder of Capital grade science, at forty seven years young her face is as smooth as a baby's bottom (when lit by the right light) and her body the kind of figure a barbie doll would be proud of. Her hair is her trademark classic bob while her clothes are always the utmost of style. Up close the signs of aging are more clear as while her lips are always freshly puffed and her brows plucked to perfection no manner of poking, prodding or procedures have quite managed to remove all the signs of crows feet and not-so fine lines.

Personality: Augustus is a woman of strong opinions and a commanding voice having cut her teeth as a escort early in her career she has since made her name though setting trends and using the tributes as her own canvas to her own ends. Never one to like children she came to despise the tributes she worked with with the majority being weak willed crybabies unworthy of the attention bestowed on them. Naturally she retired from working with them as quickly as possible but couldn't let go of her hobby of betting on who would live or die. This passion was the result of half her fortune with the other coming from her string of marriages to rich men who where bled dry by her greed and addiction to wasting money on bets and beauty enhancements. Now at forty seven, six ex-husbands a daughter and two sons she is rich enough to enjoy her retirement and enjoys nothing more then watching the blood fly in the games while betting and on occasion hedging her bets by sponsoring tributes she sees as especially promising.

Mind you she doesn't make it easy, getting money from Augusta Pruce is like getting blood from a stone, she believes in making the Mentors work for it, hard.
