'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'Evii... her eyes opened slightly as she heard her brother stretch her name out. As if he were looking- Crap, I almost forgot! she sat up slightly and looked around, sunlight streaked through a hole in the roof of the abandoned barn. Evi didn't dare stand up as she continued to listen and pay attention to her brother's foot steps while he searched for her. A small smile came across her lips as she shifted her feet and peeked over from a stack of hay, she got up slightly and failed as her foot slipped on some hay and she fell forward. "Ouch!!" She popped her hand over her mouth just as he whipped around and then started walking towards her. She got to her feet and stood up to run, just as she turned around her brother picked her up. "Got you!! Now I expect to see you over at mom's house before dark." Family dinner... of course. she rolled her eyes and struggled out of his grip. "Alright Rafi, I'll be there before dark." Evi hated the game of being chased around by her brother just so she would do her work and listen to her parents. If she wanted to go home and do what she was told... don't you think she would have don it? She rolled her eyes as she fell back onto a stack of hay with a large sigh.

| Rachel wondered into the abandoned barn. She was wearing an old torn jean dress that someone from her new foster home gave her. She didn’t have any socks on and her shoes were falling apart. She hadn’t combed her hair in a few of days. She didn’t see why she had to look nice, who did she have to look nice for? Even her foster family is scared of her, she was nearly certain that everyone in District 10 was scared of her. Well, she supposed when your pycho mother use to run around the District waving a butcher knife people had a right to be scared. It didn’t help that every day she spends out in the fields throwing knives at trees unless she is out on a neighbor’s farm helping with the sheep. Her family had been one of the best shepherds in the District but that still wasn’t enough to save them from Peacekeepers.
She sat down on a bale of hay and started sharpening one of the knives she carries around. She suddenly threw the knife into a one of the old wooden columns holding up the barn. Every time she even thinks about Peacekeepers, her family and the other people in the District she got to angry. Peacekeepers weren’t human’s in her eyes but monsters. Her family was victims. The other people of the District were like cows that know they are on the way to the butchers.
Insane, that’s what they all call her. Maybe she is, maybe she isn’t. She wouldn’t be surprised if she is insane. It’s something that runs in families but given that she saw her parents be killed right in front of her who could blame her. At least if she went into the Games now they couldn’t take anything away from her thirteen year old self. She had nothing left. Not even her sanity.

'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'`'Her head shot right up as she heard something hard hit wood... considering that she was a big on knife type of person. She recognized the weapon to be a knife, the sound identical to what happens when you throw knifes at wood. Evi's eyes searched the barn, but the large bales of hay blocked her view of anyone. So the 5"1" girl stood up, her dark red/brown hair swayed around a little at the sudden movement and then she had a little "aha!" moment as she spotted the girl. That's when Evi recognized her to be the crazy girl everyone talks about, the orphan? Is she really a Orphan?
Most of the rumors she hears swarming around don't effect her thoughts of the girl, she usually just ignored the rumors and kept on walking. Not wanting someone elses words forming a mental picture of someone she had never met in her head. Without a word she got off the bale of hay with a loud thud, she wasn't the type to approach anyone. But she did want to make a small comment, "So are you just throwing at random things? Or are you keeping a target in mind." She came from the girls left side, her dark amber eyes trained on the so called "crazy" girl. Or did they say she was Insane?. Evi Matthews was dressed in a regular wear for this sort of day, a solid dark blue shirt and some comfortable black jeans with her hair up in a pony tail.

| Rachel looked up and saw a girl with dark reddish brown hair not much shorter then herself. She didn’t know the girl’s name but what else is new. She isn’t sure if this girl is obvious or reckless. Either way what was the point of being friendly?
“Open your eyes; there is always someone to hate enough to kill them,” she said coldly. “The whole world is filled of them. Monsters and cowards,” she added. She didn’t have just one target but many. There is a lot of hate in her and one day it will explode. She knows if she goes into the Hunger Games now she will last much longer, it’s rather hard to kill someone who is insane. There is no rational strategy, no signature move and their strength is stronger than an average person.
She laughed. She could see in the girl’s amber eyes that the chances are she doesn’t know what it is like to see people die in front of her or what it is like to hate someone so much that all you see is blood. No one understands, no one ever does.
