| Jennifer Marie Briggs District Six Jett figured that in order to fight she would need to learn what kind of weapon she could actually use. She knew that she didn't have enough strength for a sword or spear, but maybe a bow an arrow or knives? The tribute wasn't exactly sure, but she might as well try. She grabbed a bow and remembered watching others. She notched and arrow and pulled the bow back to her cheek, and kept both of her eyes open. Focusing on the center of the dummy a few yards down, she released.
The arrow hit the side of the target, a few inches from the target. Frowning, Jett set the bow down. Obviously, that wasn't going to work out. She looked at some throwing knives and shrugged. Maybe she would be better with those. She gripped one of the knife's silver hilts and took aim. She the threw with all of her force. A smile sprouted on her face, seeing the knife dig itself in the target, a few centimeters from the center circle.

| ---Pyrite Averett District 6---
Pyrite raised an inquisitive eyebrow as his district partner threw a titanium serrated six inch, possibly silv... He cut himself off. He'd been surrounded by the metals for trains for so long he could tell metals and lengths from a mile away. It wasn't a particularly useful skill. Either way, she'd nearly hit the bullseye. Wouldn't want to get in her way. He picked up a relatively lightweight orange spear and lined up a throw. He'd gained a lot of strength since he joined his dad building trains, and he guessed he would make the 10m target, if not overshoot it. He took a step forward and flung the pike forward, swinging his wrist and shoulder as one. It just missed the head and hit the board behind it. He took another, slightly heavier spear, this one blue, and took up the same position. Jett gave him a passing glance as he used the same motion, this time going too far forward and hitting the dummy in the shoulder. Still, the sheer force of the throw knocked it over.
He wasn't particularly pleased with his throws. He knew he could do better. One of the trainers stood the dummy upright again as he felt the weight of a few tomahawks. Eventually he chose one he liked, with a blue handle. He guessed this was the universal indicator for 'not quite the lightest'. He threw the axe with a vengeance, digging it in the dummy's skull, knocking it over again. An adrenalin rush came over him. He took another two of the same tomahawk and took off both the dummy's arms with them. He sat down and observed his handiwork. It was a sick thing to do, kill. But he appeared to be good at it. | |
