A part of Adrianna had always been interested in the Games. it seemed that after 17 long years... her curiosity would finally be sated. her name was called, and with a smile, she stepped forward. she was not eager for the Games; she just always had an unbreakable smile plastered upon her visage. she was about to begin her stride, when she stopped. she pulled a rock out of her pocket, and stopped in front of a younger girl--Marcella.
"Percival is yours to keep." she whispered sweetly to her, "take good care of him for me, okie?"
other than this, her's trip to the stage was short and eventless. upon noticing the male tribute's extended hand, she shook it, giving him a friendly smile that she gave everyone.
those who knew Adrianna, or "Smash", as she was often nicknamed, knew that her enthusiastic and cheerful grin that she now had as she faced the remainder of her fellow district members, was not necessarily an eagerness to jump into the games. it was more just the expression she always had on her face.
But, if this was to be the beginning of the end... she'd take it with a smile--the same way she handled everything she did.
