Ariana blinked her eyes rapidly, adjusting to the light of the room. She looked around eagerly, hoping for treasure or something like that. She didn't need any serious supplies, but maybe something interesting? Like, a ball or something. Ariana stifled her laughter as she imagined herself attacking other tributed by throwing a ball at their heads. She let her smile fade away as she refocused on the room. Was there anything in here?

There was a small bundle curled up in the corner that from a distance it looked like an article of clothing, Ariana would have to go up and look.

Ariana's eyes finally fully adjusted. She surveyed the room again, this time seeing something new. It looked like a small bundle, but Ariana couldn't tell what it was from this distance. She would have to go closer. Ariana crept forward warily, ready to scramble back if anything went wrong. The bundle looked pretty still though, hopefully it wasn't dangerous. As she drew closer the mystery remained a mystery. She still couldn't tell what it was. Ariana sighed quietly, realising she would have to go right up to it. She crept closer until she was only a few inches away. Then the little District 6 girl leant down and looked at the bundle very closely.

The brown bundle shifted and stretched out and then he wagged his tail and barked happily at Ariana. It appeared to be a puppy.

Ariana's eyes widened as the bundle moved. She leaped back a bit before her face broke into a wide smile. It was a puppy!! Ariana had a puppy! She'd always wanted a dog, but nobody else in her family seemed to agree. Or maybe they just didn't want the work. Whatever. Now, in a fight to the death, Ariana had her wish! If she was going to die she would die happy. She knelt down and picked the puppy up, laughing quietly as it licked her face. "I think I'm going to name you Milo. Do you like that name?" In the Capitol they had this brown stuff called Milo that you could use to make hot chocolte. Since the puppy was brown it seemed like a good fit. The puppy wagged it's tail again as Ariana looked around. Now what? Did she just leave the way she had come in?

Ariana could also find a blanket, this room seemed decent enough to sleep in if needed be.

Ariana smiled happpily as she also found a blanket. That was good, since she had lost her sleeping bag. Ariana shhok that thought out of her head since it reminded her of Hudson. She looked around the room and shrugged. "Well puppy. I'm pretty tired. Why don't we just sleep here?" Milo licked her again, so Ariana took that as a yes. She wrapped the blanket around her and Milo and lay down on the floor. She put of her knives in her backpack, but kept the other in the hand that was not wrapped around Milo. As soon as she was prepared she fell asleep. Milo's breathing slowed too, and soon he was also asleep.

When Ariana awoke she heard noise, the noise was the ground shifting and now in the room there was a passage with stairs going down. She'd have to see where it'd lead.

Ariana woke slowly, dreading the day to come. Last night she had been awoken by the national anthem of Panem. Among the dead faces was Hudson Fox. Worst of all, Ariana didn't even know how he had died. One moment he was there and the next he was gone. All these sad thoughts were blown from her mind as the ground moved, and a staircase was revealed. "Let's go have a look Milo." Ariana told her new puppy. He seemed to be very faithful; once she had put him on the ground he just trotted beside her as she movedto the staircase. Ariana put away her blanket and quickly ate an orange. It quenched herthirst and satisfied her hunger temporarily. She fed a few crackers to Milo before giving him some water. She drank some herself just to make sure she wouldn't get dehydrated and collected her second knife. Hen she zipped up her back pack and walked down the stairs. Hopefully nothing too bad awaited her...

At the bottom of the stairs Ariana found a small but narrow passage.

Ariana tipped her head to the side as she spotted the narrow passage at the bottom of the stairs. Well, at least she was small. She and Milo could still fit side by side. Which was good since Ariana didn't want to be separated from her new puppy. "Well, cone on then Milo." Ariana said. She reached the bottom of the stairs and looked around quickly before moving forward silently. If anybody was at the end of the tunnel she did not want them to hear her.

At the end of the passage if Ariana looked up she'd see a trap door and a ladder to help get up the trap door. It most likely led to another part of the arena.

Ariana grinned as she spotted the end of the barrow passage. Good, she was starting to get claustrophobic. Ariana really detested small spaces. She could put up with this tunnel since it was tall, but she couldn't handle it for long. Milo didn't seem to like it either. He was drooping along, although he perked up as he saw the ladder. Ladder? Sure enough there it was, leading up to a trapdoor. "There's the exit." Ariana murmured, not speaking to anyone in particular. She scooped Milo under her left arm and stood on the first run of the ladder. Quickly and quietly she scampered up it until sue had reached the trapdoor. She shoved against and smiled slightly as it swung open. Ariana poked her head up to see where she was.
