Viktor felt that his rib had been broken, the pain sent a shock through his body. He grimaced at the pain for only a second and then his rage took over. He was going to do whatever it took to kill someone! He did not care at the moment. But he saw that Henry needed his help, so he lunged in to defend him,trying to block Lenina' attack then trying to attack Luke who had betrayed their alliance and joined the Career pack. As Viktor was concerned, he was lower then the dirt that they stood. So he gripped his spear tightly and thrusted it towards Luke's midsection.

Not wishing to break up what was left of their crumbling alliance this early, and not really wishing to charge forward and into the Career nest this early on, Marci decided to help her friends in dealing with this traitor.

so... returning to the old ritual of keeping a distance, nocking an arrow, and letting fly, Marcelina did exactly that. this time, however, her arrow was aimed at Luke, instead of that girl from '7. since she was behind the others, she couldn't exactly help them block shots, but she could try helping them tackle the threat, which was what she was doing now.

(Jer remember to take that -15 off and considering Lenina's attack wasn't blocked that's -45 so -60 in total.)

Heather found and escape route through the fire and ran into the tunnels.

(Um, I blocked Rafe's attack before Jer even posted... so Idk what you'll do about that...and sorry Gaz, I didn't realize that meant Rafe had left.)

I let out a grunt of anger as Rafe descends into the ground, out of reach of my attack. I want to follow him, but in a split second I remember the traitor, Luke, is still alive. I won't let the traitor live. I spin around and throw my spear at him, then run forward to retrieve my weapon.

Ariana slowed her skip as she neared the fields. There was a big, hot light coming from them. Fire. Somebody had set fire to the grass. And there were still a whole bunch of tributes fighting it out in the blazing mass of heat. Idiots. They would all die from smoke inhalation at this rate. Ariana snuck into the mass, unnoticed and looked around for the exit. There careers weren't around, she hadn't seen them since the Cornucopia. That must mean there was more to the Arena. Right now Ariana just had to find the exit. Or the entrance, either way worked. Luckily it looked like the other tributes were too wrapped up in their battle to notice a little girl. She glanced around for an escape route from the fire. Hopefully it would become clear to her soon, she didn't want to be drawn in to this fight. She had avoided injury so far, and Ariana did not want to break that streak now. But she needed Hudson to come. Where was he?

Luke new that rafe couldn't keep Henry away from attacking Luke. He just stood there then Henry attacked careless jabs but as the smoke got near it was hard to see.

Marcelina was fiendishly delighted by her last arrow's success. she could tell that the traitor was getting weaker, and at this point, was ready to either score her first kill, or at least injure this sucker enough to knock him down a peg... where "knocking him down a peg" actually meant "finish the sucker off". if she didn't, hopefully one of her allies would.

while Luke was focused on trying to block and escape from Henry, Marcelina loaded another arrow, pulling the string back, and let fly. she watched as the arrow sailed towards its mark.

The flames were scorching hot and growing all around them. If they didn't run soon then they'd all be torched. Going back the way they came wasn't practical considering Viktor tried and he burned to death trying.

Ariana started to panic as the flames grew. One guy had been killed by them, and she did not want to be next. She looked around desperately. There was still no sign of Hudson, but she had to get out somehow. There had to be a way out. The Gamemakers couldn't kill this many tributes in one go; it would bore the Capitol. And then she saw it. A dark hole. It looked an entrance to something. It was a way out at least. Ariana dived through the hole, thankful for escape. ((She had an escape one turn back))

Luke saw his chance to block then run past the flames to Rafe's group only if he could block and succed then he could make a sprint towards the group then go to the tunnles. by then they would be safe from the flames and he would be patched up by them.

Marcelina decided not to wait around and see if her arrow hit. if it did, a cannon would boom, if it did not, then she'd run into him sooner or later. she took off after Henry, and into the hornet's nest--she'd either face the careers and die that way, or she'd end up backtracking and taking a risk into the fire--through the fire and the flames.

for now though, tunnels it is.

I follow my group into the tunnels. Now that the traitor is dealt with, we've been diminished in size, and it doesn't look like Henry will survive much longer. Especially if we're about to confront the careers.
