| Just some random thing I threw together on a whim. enjoy.
CHAPTER 1
In a world where the 2nd rebellion failed as well, what would The Capitol do to remind the districts of the futility of their situation? it turned out they did nothing; they just continued the games, though occasionally put slogans like "LOL LOSERZ" on the shirts of the escorts, or had massive banners are the chariot rides that said "LONG LIVE THE CAPITOL, SUCKERS". these petty and rather lame insults became commonplace after about the 79th Hunger Games or so, but the districts all knew that it was scientifically proven that The Capitol was full of weird people anyways, and so were sure that these were all some sorts of inside jokes that Capitol Citizens would use while watching some innocent child get torn to pieces by mutts or something.
the 83rd Hunger Games were hardly different. this year's batch of tributes wasn't exactly memorable, although the kids from District 11 and 12 apparently were apparently feral or something, as none of them seemed aware of what silverware was, and the girl from '11 had to be explicitly instructed to wear clothes at least twice. but that was commonplace too. everyone knew that the citizens of Districts 11 and 12 were part creature anyways, so there was still nothing about the 83rd games that stood out to anyone.
Soon the kids were all on their plates, ready for the games. the clock began counting down before the landmines deactivated, and some of them were rearing and ready to go. however, there was an announcement. usually those didn't come till the 4th or 5th day, so maybe this game would have an unusual perk after all. "Attention Tributes," came the announcement, "as is customary, only about half of you will survive the bloodbath. those of you who don't are the ones without names. For any who don't remember... here's the list." the sky suddenly went dark and a huge holographic list of tribute names appeared in the sky[Clicky!]. over half of them literally said "NAMELESS" as opposed to their name.
"I have a name!" a girl from District 1 shouted, "my name is--" a bullet whizzed right past her face, cutting off the bangs that hung in her face. she immediately shut up, and consigned herself to the fate of being a nameless tribute--immediate death in the arena.
After realizing that their fates had been sealed since they didn't have names, both tributes from District 10 decided that the only way out of the games that did not involve getting blown into 253,646,219 pieces was to commit suicide. so, 43 seconds before the clock would stop and deactivate the landmines, both of them pulled out butcher knives that their stylist had secretly smuggled into their outfits, and lopped their own heads off. it was quite a gruesome sight, especially when their bodies fell off the plates and got blown up by the landmines anyways.
Then there was that District 12 girl. how she managed to give herself a name, no one would ever know. apparently she had just shouted the first word that game to her mind at the time, which was the number of her district. Thus, she became known as "Twelve", and somehow, that nominal importance seemed to be her insurance policy for not getting killed within the first minute and 33 seconds.
suddenly, a gong sounded, and foolishly, a nameless tribute from 9 got himself blown into almost as many pieces as the kids from 10 did. "Attention tributes," said the announcer, "There are still 9 seconds left to go... okay 3... 2... 1... go kill each other!"
To no one's surprise, 12 tributes were dead right at the same time that Samson of District 1 looked at his watch. "1:34. perfect timing."
However, it wasn't so perfect timing, because he realized that there were 13 nameless tributes. one was still alive and out there! immediately, he drafted the tributes from Districts 2 and 3, as well as the girl from 4, and formed his career pack. "That nameless kid from 8 is still out there." he told them, "LET'S ROLL!" it seemed they were not the only ones after her though. Capitol Snipers darted through the trees to find the nameless tribute who was threatening the integrity of the games with a kid that no one knew the name of. the only other alliance was Zev and Wyn of District 7, and of all things for them to be doing, they were leaning on the fourth wall.
"y'know... how did they get this far without knowing the names of half the kids?" Zev quipped, "probably the same way they have all the time, money and resources to build arenas to kill kids, but not enough to prevent starvation in Districts 9, 10, 11, & 12." Wyn replied, "though speaking of 12, where'd she go?"
Twelve was sitting on front of the cornucopia playing with a slinky.around her were the mangled bodies of a dozen nameless tributes, as well as piles of weapons. Zev and Wyn looked at each other, and knew immediately what to do. 15 minutes later, they were content that they had put enough distance between them and that Twelve girl. despite the fact that they had seen her walk right through the carnage while the kids from 1 and 2 ripped people's heads off, they were certain that she was somehow responsible for the deaths of each and every one of those tributes, and so decided not to mess with her. Either way... the hunt--and the games--were on.

| Hey! posts! thanks, folks. now, for some more Hunger Gamesy fun. ^^
CHAPTER 2 (NIGHT 1) The entire first day was a game of hide-n-seek, but by the time night fell, there was still no sign of that nameless District 8 girl. Samson swore loudly at the heavens and swore to drink her blood, and Varsha from district 4 seemed to find that thought strangely appealing. "what about Twelve?" Krash asked, "she's taken over the cornucopia and is feeding off the bodies of all the nameless kids." "well kill her later. she can't subsist upon human flesh for that long." "We should just off her right now." Lisa suggested, "
"Y'know..." Twelve piped up, "if you're trying to talk about me behind my back, perhaps you should stop hovering over my turf and buzz off."
"That's it. GET HER!" immediately, the Career pack jumped Twelve and started incessantly pummelling every living fiber of her being. unfortunately, after her head rolled off and a pile of straw spilled out, they realized that they had been duped. Twelve suddenly appeared behind the District 3 boy, Shigeeru, and literally backstabbed him, before grabbing his GPS system and starting to make a break for it.
"where'd you learn to attack people with no remorse, steal their things, and run away?" Kyoto shouted after her. "At the mall, the day after Thanksgiving!" Twelve called out as she disappeared into the woods, "where I'm from, I'm known as the terror of Black Friday!"
Kyoto was about to lunge after her, but was stopped by Shigeru, who was somehow fine. "Let her go," he suggested, "Black Friday is a District 12 Ritual where the coal is free, hence the name "Black Friday". somehow, those kids manage to survive by eating flammable rocks. It doesn't make sense to me, but then again, it *is* District 12..."
"Alright Rich Kids! let's fall back and regroup! the cornucopia is ours!" Samson shouted, and so the careers made camp as the cannons boomed for all the nameless kids that no one cared about. Krash and Lisa were assigned to survey the area. unfortunately, they didn't find any food, and this was an upsetting dilemma for them, both. "HEY!" Lisa shouted up at the skies, "HOW CAN WE GIVE YOU A GOOD SHOW IF WE'RE DOOMED TO STARVE?"
"Attention tributes--starving makes a good show, especially after you start having seizures." the announcer replied. "OH COME ON!" Lisa shouted back, "what do you think this is? the Hunger Games that are Actually About Hunger?"
There was a pause. "Attention tributes. this year we're actually going to live up to the name "Hunger Games", and therefore you will all experience great hunger as we've banned food from the arena."
"well." Twelve smirked, off in the distance, "luckily we kids from '12 just eat each other when we die."
"Yo Twelve," Illinois shouted as he sprinted past her, "you're mic'd up, hon." The Careers all looked at each other in disgust, after hearing what Twelve had just announced to the entire arena, as well as all of Panem thanks to being on national television. Kyoto looked about to puke.
Then, there was a pause. "Attention tributes. owing to what Twelve has just said, we decided to rescind our previous rule-change, and so there will be food after all. may the odds ever be in your favor and all that jazz, yaddey yaddey yaddey. just kill each other already."
Immediately the career pack huddled together to decide who to kill first. there was a moment of silence, and then they all shouted simultaneously... "NAMELESS GIRL!"
there was a thundering in the trees as Twelve climbed up to some obscenely high branch. she thought it was another kid, but it was actually... well, thunder. that was funny. for a moment, she tried thinking back about what to do in a thunderstorm, and remembered distinctly that climbing trees and being as high as possible was a good thing...
...except that it wasn't. "Attention tributes," the announcers called, "We are aware that some mentors gave their tributes bad information regarding lightning strikes. because of that, we gave them a raise. Either way, if you are in a high tree or something stupid like that, you're going to get struck by lightning the next time you move."
Twelve might have been stupid, but she wasn't that stupid. she remained stock-still until one of the other tributes kicked her tree. it shook, and made her jump. the instant she did, she was hit with a huge bolt of lightning, which fried her to a crisp. she fell out of the tree, which crushed her. for some reason, the cannon didn't go off.
"oh dammit... that means she's still alive." the announcer grumbled, "attention tributes!" he shouted, "find the girl you all call Twelve and put her out of her misery. Thank you." The only problem here was that the Gamemakers had miscalculated. Twelve was not even hurt; just slightly dazed from getting hit by lightning, falling out of a tree branch, and then having said tree branches crush her. it was daily routine in the forests outside District 12, and any who failed that Rite of Passage were sealed inside a mine until they died or mutated. unfortunately, it was usually the former.she was underneath a large dome of leaves from the tree, and so she slept more comfortably that night than she had ever slept back home. the branches even worked as a nice little scratching post.
Soon even the Career Pack grew quiet, their search for the nameless 8 girl being in vain. Samson shouted his traditional angry rant at the sky and swore to drink her blood, and Varsha approved. once they grew quiet, the arena did too for the night. the next morning, however, would be far different.
[for convenience, here's a list of who is alive and what alliances exist.]

| The madness fun continues... CHAPTER 3 (DAY/NIGHT 2) Sergiusz woke up the next morning and realized at least one very good thing about his situation: he was alive. He looked around some more and realized another good thing: he was not being chased by other tributes. he got up and started wandering around, and then confidently decided: he had no idea where the hell he was.
he took a few steps--three, to be exact, and then he heard screaming. it was a little girl, only about 12 or so. he gasped. "Nameless girl!" he exclaimed, and grabbed a giant tree branch with the intent of bludgeoning the kid from here to Topeka. "FIRRRRREEEEEE" the girl shouted, before zooming past Sergiusz so fast that he ended up bludgeoning a small puppy that was chasing the girl instead of the girl herself. he looked up, and sure enough... oh hey. there was a fire.
Shigeru and Kyoto reported back to Samson after they had caused said fire. the only catch was that the clouds from the night before were still there, and so rain was likely. "So let me get this straight." Samson glared at Kyoto, "You two took all our matches just to light a fire during a rainstorm?" Kyoto looked around nervously. "you told me to!" "Hey!" Shigeru piped up, "this was MY idea." "Right." Samson rolled his eyes. "You know how we Careers deal with incompetent allies?"
he turned around to grab a massive battleaxe. however, during that second, Varsha came out of nowhere and launched her fist cleanly through Shigeru's face. there was a moment of shock and awe as the district 4 girl retracted her (now) bloodstained fist. a cannon boomed, right as lightnint struck in the background to illuminate Varsha's sinister glare.
"Any more questions?" she turned to the remaining tributes. "I think I just fell in love." Samson confessed. this was met with general silence, and Kyoto crouched down and went inside the cornucopia. she came out literally armed to the teeth with all sorts of crazy gadgets.
"Don't tell me those were in there the whole time." Lisa snapped, "They weren't." Kyoto grinned proudly, "I built them out of paperclips, copper wire, and a slab of silicon that was sitting in there for some strange reason." "It's always the Asian kids." Varsha muttered to Samson. he stepped forward, still carrying the massive battleaxe that he had been about to kill Shigeru with. "hunt for anything useful," he told them, "kill anything that moves--especially if it's Twelve."
the afternoon passed without event, and soon it was night again. the arena was steamy and smoky, because the rain had put out the fire the District 3 kids had started. the Career Pack were back on the prowl, and the first one they ran into was Sergiusz. immediately he put his hands in the air, as he noticed Samson's battleaxe, Varsha's bloodstained fist, (which still had some brains on it), and the dual machine pistols that both the District 2 Tributes had. he knew that he was heartily outnumbered.
"Let me handle this," Varsha whispered; "No," Samson argued, "you've got brains all over your hand. you're gonna kill him outright." "Brilliant observation, moron," Varsha snapped. "I had dibs." he whispered. suddenly, Sergiusz grabbed both Samson and Varsha around heir necks, and hit their heads together, knocking them clean out.
"I'm not going to die here and now." "You know what," Krash gave a friendly smile. "you're right. you're not going to die here and now. you're going to die in 5 seconds!" he tossed his machine pistols away and snatched up Samson's battleaxe, swinging it and cutting Sergi clean in half. a cannon boomed. "How did this moron get a 12 anyways?" he looked down at Samson. however, he sprung up immediately, grabbing Krash's leg and pulling it right out from under him. "Say that again and they'll have to dig up four districts just to find your remains."
before Samson could live up to this threat, however, there was another crack of lightning, and it illuminated a figure that was perched atop a giant boulder. during the momentary flash of light, the careers noticed that it was none other than that bothersome nameless girl from District 8 that didn't die in the bloodbath with all the other nameless tributes, and that she had stolen Krash's machine pistols when he had discarded them.
"AFTER HER!" they all shouted, and bounded over rocks and trees, following her through the forest of trees, grass, boulders, and abandoned vehicles. they unsurprisingly lost her trail, but did stumble upon Twelve fighting against Zev and Wyn--or rather, Zev, since she was successful in pushing Wyn backwards and into a landmine which triggered a chain reaction of landmines. as the explosion roared behind her, Twelve walked calmly away without even looking at the explosion behind her. in fact, it was so awesome that no one, not even Zev, was able to move till Twelve was out of sight.
"That was bloody awesome." he exclaimed after it was over, then he turned to the careers. "mind if I join you?" "Do you promise to devote the remainder of your time alive to ending the lives of both Twelve and the nameless girl?" Samson asked him, looking him straight in the eye. "Deal." Zev nodded. "Welcome to the club." Samson shook Zev's hand.
"Are we just gonna recruit everyone we run into?" Lisa whispered to Samson. "Duh, who else is going to test Twelve's Lair for landmines?" he answered. "Fair enough," she nodded, and the careers slowly made their way back to the Cornucopia. the only problem with this was... was that when they got there, they learned quickly that they were not alone...

| I was lazy and took too long to write this. sawwy. xB
CHAPTER 4 (DAY/NIGHT 3, DAY 4) The Careers were surprised to find that someone had commandeered their spot at the Cornucopia, but at the same time, were less surprised when they realized that it was Twelve. she was surrounded by legions of robots, which she immediately let loose upon the careers. Also surprisingly, it seemed that she had allied with Illinois, as he was there, shooting arrows at them.
As the legion of robots approached the careers, Varsha cracked her knuckles, Samson sharpened his battleaxe on what was left of a kid's steel-toe boot, Lisa reloaded her firearms, Zev pulled out some knives, and Krash sort of just stood around awkwardly since he didn't have any weapons. he suddenly grabbed Kyoto and charged in, planning on using her head as a battering ram.
Illinois kept rapidly shooting arrows, but Krash's own speed and brute power deflected them. in fact, at least one arrow was deflected by his sheer manliness. it was at this moment that both sides wondered where all the robots came from, and why they were not attacking Twelve, or the nameless girl who at one point had had at least 37 Capitol Snipers in the arena searching for her, before Capitol citizens grew strangely attached to this nameless kid and called the search off.
others, such as Samson, Lisa, and Varsha, didn't give a crap, and they proceeded to smash through the metal with various weapons in their possessions. Samson's battleaxe cut many of them cleanly in half, Lisa's bullets made their heads explode, and and Varsha's fists, which were also still covered in brains, were also now covered in circuitry.
"Attention tributes." came a sudden announcement, "due to an oversight in District 3, there are randomly robots loose in the area. disregard them, as all they do is explode. you're supposed to be killing each other instead." there was a moment of stunned silence. then it started raining, causing all the robots to short-circuit and explode. unfortunately, Kyoto, who was also armed to the teeth with technological marvels, also exploded, and since Krash was still using her as a bludgeoning device, he exploded too. two more explosions sounded, but those were just cannons going off.
Illinois focused his attacks on Zev, while Krash, Lisa, and Varsha headed straight for Twelve. she pulled out what appeared to be a pair of giant double-bladed butcher knives and twirled them around with surprising skill. "Okay, where the hell did you find double-bladed butcher knives?" Varsha narrowed her eyes, blocking Twelve's blows with her bare fists, "I looted the remains of the kids from '10 and welded their blades together." Twelve replied, "ultimate power."
"that's cool and all, but I've got to kill you now." she retorted, and instantly punched Twelve in the chest. however, instead of her fist going right through Twelve's respiratory system, it seemed that she had on a punch-proof vest, and so she just got knocked back, landing somewhere in the shadowy depths of the cornucopia with a loud crash and an explosion-sound.
Illinois didn't lose confidence at the loss of his ally, or now that he was out of arrows. instead, he pulled out a giant sabre, and twirled it expertly in his hands, slowly approaching Zev and grinning. however, Zev just rolled his eyes, picking up a pistol from the ground that Twelve had discarded earlier, and shot Illinois, dropping him in one shot. without even looking back, he holstered the pistol and met back up with Samson and Varsha.
Lisa volunteered to stay behind to check for landmines, which she disarmed. for good measure, she threw a grenade into the cornucopia to make sure Twelve wouldn't ever get up again, but this proved to be a mistake. it came flying right back out at her. Luckily, Lisa didn't miss a beat. she grabbed a robot arm and used it as a baseball bat, whacking the grenade up and into the night sky.
"Unbelievable!" the Gamemakers announced, "ladies and gentlemen, Lisa from District 2 hits a grand slam at the bottom of the 9th to take the victory. now if only winning the Hunger Games was as easy as winning a game of baseball." the grenade exploded into some pretty fireworks or something, and immediately Lisa decided to lunge in and attack Twelve once and for all. unfortunately, this was the part of her plan that didn't work very well, as she was gunned down right at the cornucopia's opening. behind her, a little girl blew smoke off of a pair of machine pistols.
Twelve staggered out of the cornucopia, actually wounded for once. by this time, the Varsha, Samson, and Zev, who were the remnants of the career pack, were long gone. Twelve figured that if she was going to die, she'd at least confront her killer. "Y'know..." she quipped, "I had hoped to die by a kid who had a name." the nameless girl reloaded her pistols. "who says you have a choice?" "well, if I had a choice," Twelve remarked, "then I wouldn't be in a death tourna--oh wait nevermind. 'forgot that I volunteered."
"The time is not nigh for us to kill each other." the nameless girl from 8 replied, "now run before I change my mind." Twelve looked down at her injured form. she was struggling to stay on her feet. "Are you serious?"
"NOW, TWELVE." she responded, and soon Twelve realized just how fast she could run with injured legs, as the nameless kid was shooting at her. luckily 12-year-olds couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, and so Twelve escaped. Soon, the sun was beginning to rise again, and silence fell over the arena after another long and bloody night.
[and as is customary, here is a list of surviving teams/tributes.]

| so ye... totally finished this thing. here's the finale of the 83rd games. I might add a little extra like the victor's interview or something, but otherwise... yeah. this is what we get. x]
CHAPTER 5 (NIGHT 4-DAY 9) Morning was mostly silent as the tributes slept. Sleepy tributes didn’t ever make entertaining games, since they would often just fall asleep instead of killing each other. That was what the 68th Hunger Games was memorable for—none of them had gotten any sleep and so the Capitol “accidentally” made a volcano go off which wiped all of them out except the kid who was part cyborg. His metal limbs didn’t melt in the lava, and so he won the games by pure luck.
The nameless girl was the second one to wake up, as she was woken up by Samson’s battle yell even though she was 300 yards away. Varsha, who was 3 feet away, was still soundly asleep. It also woke up Zev though, and he didn’t take too kindly to being woken up by an idiot screaming and beating his chest like a gorilla. “Y’know,” he quipped, “there goes any chance of your stupid stealth plan on nameless girl working. You really need to learn when to shut up.” “ZEV!” Samson suddenly boomed, turning towards the boy,” YOUR TIME HAS COME!”
Before he could react, Zev found himself being picked up and thrown like a javelin in the general direction that Nameless Girl was in. however, during the night someone had sponsored her with a huge sheet of lead, which she had propped up as a crappy makeshift shelter. Since it was conveniently placed in the same direction as “Camp Career”, Zev soon found out what it feels like to have one’s face make a 65 mile-per-hour impact with a wall of solid lead, and the customary cannon boomed after his unholy demise.
Varsha soon woke up and pulled herself to her feet. “What’d I miss?” she smacked her lips. “Zev got thrown into the sun,” Samson lied. Varsha shrugged, “well let’s get going then and kill that nameless kid and wolf-girl. Our scores are each more than theirs both combined.” Varsha nodded, and cracked her knuckles, her right hand still covered in blood. “Let’s go.”
By this time though, Twelve and Nameless girl were facing off in what had to be the most epic gunfight any of the tributes had ever seen. Granted, this may not have said something since they were not allowed to even touch guns outside of the Gamed, but it was still pretty cool. The kid was unloading endless rounds at Twelve, who was dodging each and every bullet in some awesome slow-motion, like the Matrix. Varsha even swore that she saw Twelve catch at least three bullets with her teeth. It was here that both Careers had a moment of clarity.
“Knowing the odds,” Samson noted, “those two will somehow miraculously manage to beat us. I say screw it and let’s do what we careers are famous for!” “Aren’t we famous for killing everyone and usually winning?” Varsha raised an eyebrow, “Well that too, but after we’ve murdered a bunch of tributes, we turn and murder ourselves.” Samson replied, grinning stupidly.
“Y’know,” Varsha popped open a beer can and drained it, “I think you’re right. How should we go about doing this? Shall we take the good old-fashioned 10 paces and shoot rule?” “Sounds good,” Samson shrugged. Varsha belched and then crushed the beer can on her forehead. She walked half a pace before whirling around and punching Samson cleanly through the face. However, she too couldn’t really move, as Samson’s battleaxe was sticking right through her chest.as blood started slowly oozing out of her mouth, she smiled weakly at a camera.
“Whatever sponsor… sent the beer… thanks. It made dying… totally… worth… it…” And then she died. Meanwhile in an alternate universe where kids don’t participate in death tournaments, this clip got played to scare kids away from ever drinking booze in general. Two cannons went off, and in two separate parts of the arena, two girls realized that they were the only ones left. Immediately, the nameless girl took off in search of her remaining foe, fire in her eyes, and pistols in her hand.
At least four whole days were spent looking for Twelve. In fact, the Gamemakers didn’t even know where she had gone, other than that her tracker indicated she was right on top of the Cornucopia. As morning broke on day 9, there was an announcement. “Attention tributes from District 12—will you get out and DO something; ANYTHING!” From the fiery depths of the Cornucopia, some beast stirred. Twelve emerged from the Cornucopia surrounded by bones that no one seemed willing to identify. However, in the meantime, the nameless girl had been sponsored by some crazy awesome people like Bill Gates and the US Army, and so she was driving around in a giant military-grade Humvee with some badass gold plating—because rich Capitol people were just that rich.
She returned to the Cornucopia for the final showdown with her adversary, who was going to be crushed., the only problem was, was that the landmines had not all deactivated, and so when her vehicle ran over them, it exploded. Luckily, District 8 was also somehow known for its resilient tributes. She landed unhurt, and confronted Twelve, who had only been sponsored a few first aid kits. “Twelve,” she said, shaking Twelve’s hand, “it is time for us to face off as the worthy adversaries that we are. Are you ready?”
“Of course I am.” She replied, “10 paces, and then shoot, right?” “Correct,” she handed Twelve a pistol, “now… count off!” “1! 2! 7! 5! 8! 3! 10!” Twelve shouted, and spun around and fired, dropping the nameless girl in a single shot. Twelve didn’t know how to count—no one in District 12 did. All they knew was that 12 was an impossibly huge number. There was a moment of stunned silence, and Twelve stood there awkwardly. “A-hem,” came the announcer, “Ladies and Gentlemen—the victor of the 83rd Annual Hunger Games!”
